Peak Potenials Staff

[+/-] show/hide this post

There are two types of staff and they are completely separate for the most part. The administrative staff deals with the basically the orders and scheduling. The core team staff run the events and travel extensively from event to event.

In my dealings with the administrative staff, they are disorganized but very helpful and friendly. Make sure you calculate how much you owe and verify it with them as I had some errors with my bill. Also make sure you are aware of all the bonus offers that come with your package and keep tabs that you receive them. I can't really blame them too much with all the complicated bonuses and discounts they offer. They will also work with you on payments if you need to streak them out over several months.

The core team members are in a very different role, they run the seminars. In my honest opinion the core team members are extremely under trained for their duties and it shows. Also some of them have a habit of being quite disrespectful and not practicing what they preach at Peak Potenials. Out of probably 10 Core team members only 2 knew what they were doing, treated people with respect and were good on their word. Most of them seemed like they were scared of losing their jobs and who can blame them with all the volunteers lined up.

I have a few theories of why the core team members are the way they are:
- Peak Potentials tells them to use the "Tough Love" approach
- extremely worried about losing their jobs so their is a lot of "clawing"
- Underpaid for the job responsibilities
- Hiring under qualified staff
- Little or no training provided

Talking it over with others they said that the course quality has been going down hill slightly due to rapid growth of Peak Potentials.

Thanks for taking the time to write this blog. I'm doing a little research on this company right now since I'm considering applying for an admin job at their North Vancouver office. Your comments about the staff were helpful.
